Could not care less as it is only a game with grown men kicking a bag of wind around a grass pitch. What is all the fuss about, as they are all as bad as each other aren't they???

They can buy every league for all I care football is now just a business with overpaid morons who can't play and gullible supporters being ripped off at every opportunity.

I think foreign investment in football is a good thing. Lets face it if you go and watch a football team with the best players in the world it is more special than not. Ok they are in some terms overpaid prima donnas, but it means that maybe you would get to see them more often.

If we did not have outside investment, you would not get to see any good players in the premier league and with cause and effect this boosts the economy of the country.

Football became increasingly uninteresting to me when the cap on the number of foreign players a team could have was lifted. The top teams' players grew increasingly unfamiliar and the sense of it being local to the city by which each team is named was lost. Now the game is saturated with players whose backgrounds are totally unknown to me (and difficult to find out about), often with names which are difficult to remember because of their unfamiliarity, and our national sport seems so fractured that our national team is inept.
So what difference does it make to me now that our teams are being bought up for foreigners? I don't watch the game any more!

If you want to live in a free world, then you have to pay the going rate or the best players will invariably go to where the highest rewards are paid. Therefore it must be a good thing for our football clubs to have big investors behind them! It is simple economics of the free economy.

I for one was very glad when Liverpool was sold! I wouldn't have minded who it was sold to as long as it became finacialy viable again! It may not be important to some people, but for fans it IS a big deal, for players it is a livliehood. Yes, I would have preferred it to have been a British buyer, but that was never going to happen! NESV have put there money where their mouthes are & have started investing in the club. So in the Grand Scheme of things, I am very glad that is was sold to people who are not going to line their own pockets, sell all our best players, & NO, Torres was no big loss! Like it or not Liverpool FC IS officially the most successful English club FACT, so for that reason it is better to be sold to a foreign buyer than it going bust!

I think players should be paid less and that managers should be paid according to how well the team are doing. Foreign involvement is inevitable but we should do our best to keep teams 75% british including management/owners.

liverpool can be owned by any richest tycoons on earth but all that is important is to win trophies and a team like Man United have shown this in recent years

I think people involved in professional football are over paid. They know at the end of the day they are going to get paid thousands to play in football matches and no longer give 100% effort during games.

I couldn't personally care less. I hate football and everything it stands for. I think the amount of money footballers earn is ridiculous and should be money to help towards saving our country in this economic climate!

Although I am not a footie fan it disgusts me that everything British is now monopolized by foreigners. Even the teams are multi-national. I wonder where it is all going to end. Utilities, train services, large companies, hospitality. A lot have been taken over by foreign investers. Do we not have enough rich British people in the country to invest in it? Cannot the government step in?

i wonder why it is so difficult for people to accept that the talent in one country will never exceed the talent found around the world. Yes, foreign players are dominating the league and foreign investment is increasing , but that just brings more grandeur to the game and the very league itself . its not like local talent is not given opportunity , its that every industry looks for growth and foreign investment is key. Be happy that all these things bring the premier league itself to such a globally recognised stage !

I have no sympathy for any club that either gets into financial difficulties or are taken over by some foreign entity. They have the answer in their own hands, pay no player any more than £5k a week and stop all this £250k to some players, a ridiculous amount to pay any one. Then young fans and pensioners might get to get to see their teams play, when the price of admission comes down from the money they save on wages.
